Treasurer Jim Chalmers has appointed Deputy Governor Michele Bullock to the role of RBA Governor for a seven-year term, replacing Philip Lowe from 18 September this year. Bullock is career RBA officer, having been with the Bank since 1985. The Treasurer will make a further announcement about Bullock’s replacement as Deputy Governor.
